    Thanks for the post Matt. Those are great pictures of the history of Apollo 11. One thing that struck me when looking at some of the pictures of outer space, why don’t we see any star light – just total black. No conspiracy here, just wondering what the reason is.

    The reason you can’t see stars in the moon pictures is because even though in the vacuum of space the sky is black, it is still day. So the sun overpowers the stars, just like on earth.
